Pallet Haul-Off vs Disposal: The Smarter Way to Clear Your Dock

Stop paying to dump pallets. Most U.S. warehouses can get free or paid pickup of used pallets — here's how the haul-off market actually works.

Most used pallets have value

Recyclable 48x40 GMA pallets in repairable condition typically pay $1.50–$4.00 each when picked up in truckload quantities. Even mixed-grade lots often qualify for free haul-off, saving the $200–$600/load dumpster fee.

Damaged-beyond-repair pallets still have value for cores and ground mulch — they just won't pay you for them.

How to qualify for paid haul-off

Volume: at least 200 pallets accumulated, ideally a full truckload of 500+. Access: forklift-accessible dock or yard. Mix: the higher the percentage of repairable 48x40, the better the per-pallet rate.
